Lovers Leap Limestone, The Other Leap

Siskiyou County has some of the most diverse rock climbing of anywhere in California. Lover's Leap Limestone is just another gem in our plethora of great crags. Although some early development had taken place about a decade ago by Jeff S., Styles and a few others. The Leap really came alive last fall when the the Shastafarian crew headed out there and began putting in new routes on every aspect of this 360˙ euro plug, which sits high up on a hill in the Scott Valley. In just under an hour drive from Mount Shasta and a 30 minute approach you can be at the crags base and spend all day chasing the sun or the shade, making the season at the Leap almost endless.

We are putting together a mini guide for the Leap, should be up in a week or 2. So check back in at the Shasta Base Camp web site or if you can't wait give us a call and we'll hook you up with the beta to head out and sample some of NorCal's Lover's Leap Limestone.
